Commenting Policy

I love getting feedback on my posts and connecting with readers. You can get in touch with me publicly on Facebook, Twitter, or by leaving a comment here; or privately via the Contact page.

As long as you are:

  • courteous,
  • kind,
  • ethical,
  • and contribute to the conversation,

we’ll get along great.

There are, however, a few things I will not tolerate in any of my online interactions. Your comment will be deleted without notice if you do any of the following things:

  • Use hateful or derogatory speech. This is my blog, so I will judge what is hateful. This includes hateful speech directed toward minority groups, people with disabilities, LGBTQ people, etc.
  • Tell me or another commenter what to do. Asking “Have you tried this?” or saying something like, “This really worked for me” is fine. “You need to do [blank]” is not.
  • Comment with the sole purpose of promoting a product or service. This includes things like migraine meds, your alternative medicine practice, “cures,” and other treatments like mouth guards for TMJ. It also includes things like self-publishing services, editing services, trying to sell your book, etc. Feel free to mention services you provide and books you’ve written if they are relevant to the conversation, but this is not a place for advertisements.

I may need to update or modify this comment policy in the future. If I do, I’ll be sure to post about the changes and the reasons behind them.

Thank you for taking the time to read this blog and share your thoughts with the world.
